Twitter is tied with my Facebook addiction. I definitely see them continuing to grow.

Re: Five Years of Facebook

Stephanie ... you certainly come from the perspective of the original audience for Facebook, whereas I'm one of the more recent "generations" to embrace the network :-)

Initially I was hesitant to get too deeply involved and only peripherally interacted, testing marketing opportunities etc. ... until I realized the power of re-connecting with friends who had been lost to time and distance. It's a real rush to start up a conversation after 25 years has passed! I also appreciate getting connected with new contacts as well, with a bit more personalization than a simple tweet stream can provide.

From a business standpoint, I am super excited about the rollout of Facebook Connect (integrated with Disqus btw) which will have a major impact on exposing brands via the News feed plus provide higher level data mining. In a non-intrusive way, it will be the best word of mouth we have ever seen.

As you say, I have my iphone app that I check as much as my Twitter account .. here's to many many more birthdays for Facebook.
