I'm more pragmatic than romantic, but I believe in the power of love. I think the trappings of romantic love are symbols for the pure joy we feel (however fleeting) when we realize what we created when we started with almost nothing except love and hopes and dreams.

Love it!! I'm a hopeless romantic. But beyond romantic love, there are so many other kinds of love that know no limits--the way a parent loves a child, the way a friend takes care of another... In so many ways, love and dreams are what keep life moving.

I totally agree with you. True love is an unstoppable force, you have to be open to it, willing to accept that you are "enough" to deserve it and then cherish it with everything you have.

Really nice quote ... but ... I believe in romantic love for others but not for me ... the lemons life has thrown at me have taught me that :) ... I have seen in other people's life exactly what you are talking about though and it is marvelous.
